Support » Fixing WordPress » Plugin upgrade causes white screen on wp-admin pages

  • I just updated two WP plugins. Search and Replace and WP E-Commerce. After doing that, I got greeted with a blank, white screen. Which has happened before and usually I just go temporarily rename my plugin folder to plugins_old and then I can get back in, rename it back and then turn on plugins one by one in order to find the troubled plugin and delete it.

Problem here is if I rename it back to plugins, I’m back to the blank white screen while in wp-admin. The site is fine, but the admin is not. I want to turn off these two plugins so I can get things back to normal but how do I do that. I’m stuck on 3.1.3 because the server we’re on is stuck on PHP 5.1.6 and they won’t update that for me.
