# Plugin Updraftplus Fails Google Drive API (Authorization)

 * Hi,
 * I am having an issue with updraftplus backing up to Google Drive. I went through
   the very excellent tutorial listed here:
 * [UpdraftPlus Install Tutorial](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8XPH7eNzK0&feature=youtu.be)
 * And it looks like it works (mind you I had this working back in 2014):
 * Success: you have authenticated your Google Drive account. Name: Mitchell Tuckness.
   Your Google Drive quota usage: 69.1 % used, 9506.7 Mb available
 * But below that I have this error message:
 * Have not yet obtained an access token from Google – you need to authorise or 
   re-authorise your connection to Google Drive.
 * I just created the project again in the Google Developers API, but I have no 
   idea how to resolve this authentication issue.

 * In the Log around 400 I see this:
 * Beginning dispatch of backup to remote (googledrive)
    0310.510 (1) Google Drive:
   requesting access token: client_id=(**Removed**) 0310.710 (1) Google Drive error
   when requesting access token: response does not contain access_token. Response:{“
   error” : “invalid_client”} 0310.712 (1) ERROR: Have not yet obtained an access
   token from Google (has the user authorised?) 0310.713 (1) An error condition 
   has occurred for the first time during this job

 * I just told it to do a backup for kicks and it succeeded, even with the error
   and now it is not showing. Maybe the error was listed from the last backup?
 * I searched the lag file and it looks good:
 * 0425.754 (1) There were no errors in the uploads, so the ‘resume’ event (2) is
   being unscheduled
 * I guess it was a display fluke.
