When I attempt the easy one-click update I get this message: Download failed. error:0D0890A1:asn1 encoding routines:ASN1_verify: unknown message digest algorithm I receive this message with every plugin I try to update. * When I try to install a new plugin I get this message: Download failed. error: 0D0890A1:asn1 encoding routines:ASN1_verify:unknown message digest algorithm * I’m running WordPress 4.0 and have never had this problem before. What’s up? Can I do anything to make this problem go away? (Unless you control the server) Contact your hosts support group and give them a copy of the error message. The problem seems to be on their servers. The widget updates that apply to my blog are not crucial so I’ll wait it out and see what Yahoo does. Thanks guys for your help and information.
