 * Hi,
    I need to update several plugins and wordpress. When I try the update fails
   as it can’t create directory. The error is: Downloading update from [http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/akismet.3.1.9.zip…](http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/akismet.3.1.9.zip…)
 * Unpacking the update…
 * Could not create directory. /wp-content/upgrade/akismet.tmp

 * Sounds like a permissions issue. Does the account you’re attempting to update
   with have the appropriate permissions (recursive?) in the wp-content directory?
