# Plugin Updates

 * I’d like to know if anyone knows how to update plugins from a file on a hard 
   drive opposed to the automatic updates of plugins. It’s been not updating correctly
   automatically but I have the file I need, but don’t want to delete it and loose
   my settings. My blog is [49ers Shop](http://shop-49ers.com). Any help would be
   appreciated.

 * Download the updated plugin, unpack the archive and drop the resulting folder
   in wp-content/plugins.
