plugin update breaks plugin

The link won’t really help because I reverted the plugin update. But every time I try and update this plugin it puts large white text over the image thumbs. Looks terrible and I have the premium version.
Can you fix this or tell me what to do. I’m not a coder so editing the database or something super technical is not going help me.
