[Plugin: Types – Custom Fields and Custom Post Types Management] Custom Type and WP Post Categories

    Hi,

    Can a custom type use the existing Post Categories / Tags?

    I’ve created a new post type – Article – and on the Type Edit pages, have checked both “Categories” and “Tags” under “Select Taxonomies”. These are not custom taxonomies, just the built-in WP post ones.

    However, when I create an Article, there are no options to choose Categories or Tags in the editor.

    Is there any reason this might not work?

    Can you check when clicking top left link on admin post edit page ‘Screen Settings’ if checkboxes for ‘Categories’ and ‘Tags’ are checked?

    Hi,
    Categories and Tags are not options in the Screen Settings for the new post type I created.

    Is there something incorrect in the setup?

    We’ve fixed this now and it will be in the next release.
