Same problem here in the Netherlands. I also don’t get this widget to work properly. Can anyone please tell me what I’m doing wrong?

Latest version of WordPress & latest version of Twitter Widget Pro.
My WP-website is hosted on a Danish hosting-provider in Denmark (One.com).

Https shows me my twittername, amount of followers and “no tweets available”
Http shows me my twittername, amount of followers, tweets posted, but won’t update the timeline. Even when I wait about several hours or more, no difference.

When I hit the clear-update-locks button I got the message “There were no locks to clear!” So that’s not the problem I think, but what makes it not to work the way this widget is supposed to do?

I’ve tried to uninstall/reinstall the widget, deactivating/activating, but no change at all.

    Please help!

By the way… the WordPress-theme I’m using is Coraline. Does anyone knows if that is perhaps the cause why this widget won’t work properly?

I’m having this same problem. I’m hosted within the Rackspace cloud and am using WordPress theme “Mingle” http://themeforest.net/item/mingle-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/235056

I faced the problem too until I find it weird to have this problem with every single twitter plugin installed. In the end i realised that the problem might not be the plugin itself but the setting within twitter. I opened up setting and unchecked ‘Protect my Tweets’ under Tweet privacy. It works. I’m not quite sure if its possible to have my tweets protected and at the same time displaying my recent tweets in my site.

I am using wordpress theme Mono by Cudazi and changed the widget from https to http and am still getting the “No Tweets Available” text. Any help? My site is www (dot) thedesign23 (dot) com

I unchecked ‘Protect my Tweets’, played with http and https no success. My twitter posts are not being updated on my website since 01/17/2012

    web site is http:/pindosiya.com

I’m having trouble with this plugin too. Changing the https to http did not solve my problem.

Maybe it’s just my website (or host), because I can not get any Twitter feed up and running, while months ago it did work properly.

Do you need any information to track it down Aaron?

    Thanks in advance!

Still the same problems. Tweets won’t show up πŸ™

switching to http via the admin settings panel fixed this for me. The correct tweets are pulled in.

However, this latest update also changed the treatment of the headline- it no longer links to the feed. Does this mean I’ll have to use the included, clunky “follow us” button? Sigh, so many buttons…

    Hey everyone!

So I have a summary of how to fix this problem, since there are several things that can cause this.

    ERROR:
For some reason my tweets aren’t displaying, all that appears in my widget is “No tweets available,” or “No public tweets.”

    Solution:
Go into your General Settings in your website and make sure the url is HTTP.

Now if you have the Twitter Widget Pro there are several things to check.

    1) First go into your dashboard > Settings > Twitter Widgets.
    2) Make sure your Twitter API is HTTP NOT HTTPS

Now if it still isn’t working or you’re using another widget, that probably means you’re problem is with Twitter.

    1) Log in to Twitter and go into your Profile.
    2) Select Account
    3) Make sure your twitter is public and not protected
    4) Make sure you have the option “Use HTTPS When possible”

    This should fix the problem.

I love this plug in and use it for a bunch of different twitter accounts on separate pages. It was working well for a few hours, and then some of the twitter accounts stopped listing tweets and instead read, “No Tweets Available”.

Any idea why it would work for all the accounts at first, and then only for some?

    Thanks!

Thanks spacecandy! Going into my Twitter account and selecting the checkbox “Use HTTPS when possible” made the widget on my site worked. Thanks again!

The “Deactivate and Reactivate HTTPS”-Trick did it for me also!
I had the same problem of Tweets not showing in the widget anymore.

    Thanks for the quick solution.

    @veronicaduo

Your issue sounds like something isn’t set on Twitter. That’s why it’s happening to some of your twitter feeds and not others.

Try this on the particular account that’s doing it.

    1) Log in to Twitter and go into your Profile.
    2) Select Account
    3) Make sure your twitter is public and not protected
    4) Make sure you have the option “Use HTTPS When possible
