[Plugin: Twitter Tools] Encoding problems and unable to edit tweets

I have upgraded to Twitter Tools 3.0.1 and I am still trying to make it work properly. I get some errors in my posts from tweets with the displayed text when using hashtags or links, I guess it’s something related with a preg_replace or something?

I get this:

Diseñadores#webb hispanohablantes: ¿cómo traduc�#responsivesive design”? ¿Diseño adaptable, responsivo…? facebook.com/cmoralesweb/ti…j4UGkr

when in twitter I wrote this:

Diseñadores #web hispanohablantes: ¿cómo traducís “#responsive design”? ¿Diseño adaptable, responsivo…? Votad https://www.facebook.com/cmoralesweb/timeline/story?ut=61&wstart=1350490856&wend=1350490915&hash=5015468450620868995&pagefilter=3&ustart=1 …

Note how “Diseñadores #web” becomes “Diseñadores#webb”

The worst part is that I am unable to edit the resulting post: I edit it in the admin screen like this:

I save it without a problem but, when viewing the post, I still get the same text as before. I can even delete all text and still get the same view. Text displays as edited in the admin, no changes in the frontend.

I have disabled my cache so problem doesn’t come from there. Any help?
