I tried this pug in (great idea) on my site, nothing is displayed
I tried the simple url of the tweet shortcode.. same fail
Istelie, are you sure that it’s Carrington that’s causing it to fail? Which version are you working with I’ll give it a go locally. Thanks!
I don’t know if this is Carrington related in fact, but I use Carrington.
I tried using http and https
I tried using direct raw url and [tweet short code..
Same result, nothing is displayed
In cas this is of nay importance, I used Twitter Tools ( http://crowdfavorite.com/wordpress/plugins/twitter-tools/ )
Istelie, I don’t think Twitter Tools can cause a problem. Off the top of my head I’d say it’s related to disallowed remote HTTP/S requests in your hosting environment. Second idea is that Twitter was down when you tried it out ( I haven’t implemented good error handling yet ). Give me a shout on Skype ( kovshenin ) and we can figure this out together if you have time. Cheers and thanks again!
Istelie, also, version 1.0.1 will give you more info about the error if WP_DEBUG is turned on, please let me know if you can give it a spin in debug mode. Thanks!
Thanks for your efforts Konstantin
I upgraded to 1.0.1, now it works.. nearly
Se my homepage at http://velofun.fr
The two last post are twitts.
The first one works
The second one is not displayed
On the side bar there is the “official” twitter widget (to control than twitter is working)
I triple checked the urls…
Istelie, have you tried turning on WP_DEBUG? Also, how do the URLs compare, can you paste the two URLs you are trying here? Thanks!
The one that works (1rst on the page)
The one that doesn’t work next post
Strange, both work fine for me with Twenty Ten ( http://imgur.com/IZijS ), so not sure what the problem is. Debug mode can reveal more: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Debug
Sorry Konstantin, I think the problem is that I’m stupid.
It may be a cache problem or something, but now it works.
Thanks for this excellent plug in and accept my apologies
