Hi
What version of the plugin are you using. I had a look at the HTML and it is definately different to the HTML I output from the plugin. Have you modified it?
cheers
Brad
I’ve updated to 0.5.0.1. I’ve defaulted to using the version of Blackbird Pie on Twitter Media for the last few posts, but here is an example of a post in which I used the plugin: http://midwasted.com/2011/04/while-you-were-tweeping-4611/
It’s working in those old posts, but new posts only display the “Problem connecting to Twitter.” message. I’ve even tried deleting the plugin and installing via FTP, but it hasn’t helped.
Not sure if this is important, but when I use WordPress’s built in Tweet display (just paste the URL on a line by itself) I get the same error as when I use the plugin.
I just checked that link and the tweet looks perfect. The only problem is your theme stylesheet is setting a margin on the bird icon in style.css:
.post-content img {margin: 0 0 15px; height: auto; max-width: 610px;}
either set that 15px to 0, or add a new style:
.bbp-actions img { margin: 0 !important; }
Well now I’m having problems replicating it. I had stopped using the plugin because, in preview, that message would appear. But I just went through a post that had already been published and editing in the plugin, and everything is working. Sorry to waste your time!
please dont be sorry 🙂 I appreciate you posting the issue, as it is only from people like you that the plugin improves. Please continue to give feedback in future.
cheers
Brad
Hi Brad, love Black-bird-pie, but started having trouble about a month ago. We now get the message below every time we click the Blackbird icon and attempt to insert the tweet url:
403 Permission Denied
You do not have permission for this request /wp-content/plugins/twitter-blackbird-pie/tinymce/popup.php?ver=345-20111127
We’re using WP version 3.3.1.
Thanks,
