Hey Athay,

Thanks for this great plugin. Any chance of adding a shortlink option to the URL shortner menu so that links are posted in the shortlink format even if pretty permalinks are enabled on the blog. i.e.:
http://buildyourblog.net/?p=123

When I tweet a post with Tweet Old Post without link shortening, it uses the full permalink path like this:
http://buildyourblog.net/email/mailpress/mailpress-enhancement-bug-fix-wishlist

I’d like an option to use the shortlink that looks like this instead:
http://buildyourblog.net/?p=841

Have a look at the most recent two tweets here to see the difference; the most recent is from Simple Twitter Connect, and the next is from Tweet Old Post.

It’s just aesthetics as Twitter shortens the link with t.co anyway…

Yes, please. I would really like this option.

Using WordPress as a URL shortener will send URLs to Twitter in the default URL format for WordPress: http://domain.com/wpdir/?p=123

So we get the above link instead of: http://domain.com/2012/02/a-big-long-title-for-my-link-here/
