Plugin turned into a spamming annoyance! WTF?

    Today I deleted the plugin because it created a totally useless top level menu item in my backend. On top of that it placed an annoying nag info that even lgs a close or dismiss button. I mean why?

    Plugin settings belong into the settings section and users hate seeing their backends being cluttered.

    Sorry, but this is bad practice.

    BTW: The message was “Thanks for upgrading the Image Widget! If you like this plugin, please consider rating it and maybe even check out our premium plugins including our Events Calendar Pro!”

    I really appreaciate your work, but these kind of annoying stuff is just why I would rather pay for the peace of mind. And as mentioned before this message even lacks close or dismiss button.

    Edit: This plugin even nagged me while deactivating it asking me useless stuff (you forgot an option/ reason for “spamming the backend”).

    Really, shame on you…

    I am assuming this is pertaining to the short lived trial of our integration of freemius. I am going to close this under that assumption. Sorry for the annoyance.
