PHP Fatal error slowing down my site? (2 posts)

So, my website was taking super long to load, and my hosting tech support took a look at the server logs and figured that based on this, I have an out-of-control WordPress plugin:

PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 38535168) (tried to allocate 491520 bytes) in .............../httpdocs/wp-content/plugin s/tubepress/sys/classes/org/tubepress/impl/options/DefaultOp tionDescriptorReference.class.php on line 471

Is TubePress really out of control?
Anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Haven't seen this particular error before. Allocating 491520 bytes is not unusual (it's only about 480KB of memory). My guess is that something else is hogging memory from your PHP process and TubePress was simply the last piece to try to allocate any memory at all.

Have you tried disabling other plugins to see if that resolves anything?
