Transposh wil Dave's WordPress Live Search plugin URL (3 posts)

Have the plugin installed on several sites, works fine (and is brilliant).

Have one site that also uses "Dave's WordPress Live Search"; DWLS works fine in the base language but Transposh is (at my request and a requirement of the site) adding language codes to the front of URLs for other languages. This is confusing DWLS somewhere, so AJAX calls go from:

and the search query fails with a 404 (unsuprisingly...!)

Not sure if this is a DWLS issue or a transposh issue.

Dave's WordPress Live Search builds the admin-ajax.php URL using WordPress's admin_url() function. There's a corresponding admin_url filter that Transposh can implement to affect how that url gets built - not sure if they need to implement it or stop implementing it. I'll leave that for the Transposh folks to figure out. But I hope that helps!

I guess that the problem is (guessing, didn't test) is that DWLS is using partial URIs on their ajax requests instead of the fully qualified URLs, if that is the case, switching to using the full url on the admin page will solve the issue.

The filter function suggested before me seems irrelevant,

Sorry about the late answer, and good luck with fixing that.
