I inserted the shortcode [tpg_get_posts(category=”my-category”)] and it added ALL posts, not the category specific ones. I’m trying to figure out how to remedy that. I’m just not that comfortable yet at messing around with css and php files.

*where “my-category” is either the name of the category or the slug

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tpg-get-posts/

    Thanks.

the parameter should not be set in () try
    [tpg_get_posts category=”my-category”]

Just tried that. It didn’t work either with the slug or the category name. ???

Are you selecting by category or category_name

    from the readme.txt
    * category_name. This allows for the selection of posts by category_name.

    * category. This allows for the selection of posts by category number.

If you need to use category id, check out the Simply Show Ids plugin. It displays the id on the category maintenance page.

    category_name worked! thanks
