Same here. 2.9.2 and 1.2.2 from svn.
1.2.2 upgrade in WP 2.9.2 works except in OSX Firefox. Its working in other browsers though.
The button has reappeared in all browsers. Looks like everything is working now.
Hi there folks. If you’re having any issues with the button v1.2.2., the most likely cause is that your browser is caching old files that are interfering with the button. If you completely clear your cache, your issues should resolve. If not, please send a note to support@topsy.com.

Well, I have a different problem with the upgrade and I am afraid to mess with the code. Here’s the fatal error message on the Activate after upgrade to latest Topsy, using WP 2.9.2:
