I’ve been trying to search for a plugin to solve a problem, but I don’t think I have the right language to turn up any results.

    What I’m looking for:

Imagine I have a page that has instructions for “how to install a sink.”

I have other pages called “how to build a bathroom”, and “how to build a kitchen”.

In both of these articles, I want the full text of “how to install a sink”, preferably through some kind of short code.

Is there a plugin or instructions that would help me to do this?

I don’t know of one, but it wouldn’t be that difficult to create a custom shortcode that outputs the full text of a passed post reference such as its ID. Of course this would require some coding, but it’s something many people could figure out with some guidance, even if they are non-coders.

Are you sure that is the best approach? On any given page, you can oEmbed an excerpt from any other page by simply pasting the URL into an embed block. WP will automatically display the title, an excerpt and a link to the page. Default behavior, no coding required. In my mind this would be a better solution over running together the full text of various different pages in one place.

When you run full text of multiple pages together, you can end up with a wall of text that will put off casual readers. By using oEmbed, you get a nice list of related article boxes with enough excerpt to decide if following the link is worth it or not. No intimidating wall of text, yet all information is readily available through a link. IMHO of course. Do what you like, it’s your site not mine.
