Plugin to get related “off-site” posts onto my blog?

  • I checked the plugin repository and also google, so I think this might not exist. But I still hope somebody has a hack for this:

Is there a plugin that shows “related off-site articles/posts”?

For example, each time a post on my blog is viewed, the plugin will query feedster or google news or somewhere else and deliver a quick RSS feed of related posts from other people’s blogs…

    Any ideas?

    Tks!

  • It’s funny you should mention this kind of plugin. I just finished a similar plugin, but you have to add the links manually. I will continue with this project and have it use the external sources as well though.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

Serendipity. I checked your website out but have not downloaded it yet. I have a couple questions:

    1) Are these related links only to the main pages, or will the future version actually harvest links and present the ones that best are related?

    2) Are they added per post or through one admin area?

I guess I will have to download it now too and check it out 🙂

    tks!

The links are not harvested automatically yet. Currently, you’ll have to manually put in the links you want for each post, but I’ve started working on a feedster harvest of links too.

It shouldn’t be too difficult to add other searches as well though.
