    Hi people!

    Most of the time I create WP sites with CMS for clients. I searched many day’s to find a plugin that would be able to do this:
    * Create roles for a sub-admin (or custom roles)
    * Gives the possibility to hide or disable certain parts of the admin side.
    (for example hide the plugins menu item, of certain parts of theme option menu’s) (hide = not collapse, like many plugins do).
    * Keeping everything visible for the super admin.
    * WPMU compatible.

    I’ve tried many plugins like :
    * adminimize
    * Admin menu editor
    * Role Scoper
    * User role editor
    *…

    I need this to make the WP admin overview less complicated for my clients. + it would be nice that they can’t mess with important settings of the wp configuration & wp theme options. I just can’t seem to find the right plugin for this, or it doesn’t exist.

    All help is appreciated big time!

  • Try Advanced Access Manager. That’s what I use for precisely the scenario that you describe. I do even more actually, since you have the ability to disable individual Capabilities as well – which comes in handy quite a bit.

    Try Hide Admin Menu plugin. This plugin can:
    – hide menu items based on user role simply by checking checkboxes
    – work with custom user role & custom menu items added by other plugins
    – can hide menus for admin, too
    – can hide items in admin bar
