I’ve just logged in to create a new page to find that the Style drop-down box no longer shows the user’s custom styles. It’s always worked in the past (although I haven’t used it for a couple of months) and the only thing I have done is updated WordPress and any plugins. The editor-style.css remains in my sub-theme. Is the problem with TinyMCE Advanced a recognised problem and are there any solutions?

As a way round this problem I tried using the Advanced TinyMCE Config plugin but couldn’t get it to recognise any of the styles I tried to add (even with refreshes and closing/restarting the browser completely) so have given up on that avenue.

  • An update. I noticed from WordPress’s support tracking that the author of this plugin noticed a bug with WordPress 3.4 which caused the problem mentioned above and raised a ticket with them (thanks for that). The problem mentioned above was resolved in the 3.4.1 release and upgrading to that version solved my problem.
