[Plugin: TinyMCE Advanced] Some HTML5 tags still being stripped from posts

  • I’ve got the “Do Not Remove HTML5 Tags” option turned on but I find that the editor is still stripping those tags; at least when it comes to the old style of YouTube embedding video code.

The option to keep IFRAME tags does work though.

I tried adding the OBJECT and PARAM tags to line 193 of the tinymce-advanced.php script where all the other tag exceptions are set but that didn’t work.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

The <object> and <param> tags are also supported by the “media” plugin. Perhaps try enabling it (add the Media button to the toolbar).

    Hi Andrew.

The Media button is enabled in the toolbar but the embedding tags are still being stripped when I switch from HTML to the Visual Editor.
