Support » Plugin: TinyMCE Advanced » [Plugin: TinyMCE Advanced] Great plugin, table cell selecting needs help

  • This is an awesome plugin. The only thing that would make it better, and in my mind is one of the main reasons to use TinyMCE Advanced (for clients to be able to add tables to their content for lists of data, etc.) would be to clear up the bugs in the table select functions. They are really erratic. Trying to select multiple cells, cell rows, cell columns, etc just doesn’t work. Using Firefox 5 on Windows 7…

  • I am having trouble with table cells, rows, selection also.
It can’t limit itself and the selection “bleeds” out into the rest of the post, outside the table even.

Very frustrating; it’s a great plugin.

I’m also using Firefox 5/Windows 7 but also tried it with I.E. 9 and the same thing happened.

I also tried deactivating and then activating again, no improvement.

I’d like to add my agreement to this. The cell selection & property settings are not good.
I tried something similar, editor-extender, before this, but found it conflicted with another plugin. I vastly prefer the editor extender’s table functionality. For example, current table property settings display in the property dialog every time you open it; this one opens up blank, even after you’ve set properties. A color picker (where applicable) in the property dialogs would be nice too (Um, people who need a super-user-friendly editor probably don’t know color codes!).
I may have to continue my search for the perfect plugin…
