Support » Plugins and Hacks » [Plugin: TinyMCE Advanced] Dropdown shows styles from TinyMCE’s content.css

  • I’m not using the import css styles option, but rather just adding a few custom styles to the tadv-mce.css plugin file. Looks like it’s working great, however the dropdown menu is also including a bunch of extra styles (alignleft, alignright, wp-caption-dd, etc.) that look like they’re being pulled from TinyMCE’s “content.css” style sheet. How do I prevent these from being shown? Thanks!

  • I have the same question! Any solutions yet? Thanks!

I just downloaded this plugin for the CSS support and found the same behavior. But I think it’s actually getting them from the parent theme as opposed to picking up the contents of the style.css file in the child. At least my assumption based on the tags I see in the parent style.

Same dream here! I don’t want to see those predefined styles, just my custom stuff. These come various sources (files) but without any visible logic (for me) and don’t know how to prevent the load.

Yes, I’m want to find a plugin where I can highlight text and then apply predefined styles from a dropdown menu in the editor – I thought tinyMCE would do this when I saw its style menu – but as you know – it shows some styles from elsewhere…

are there any other (plugin or otherwise) solutions to this? I’m hoping to get away from using those span classes – they take the WIZ out of the wysiwyg, or put it in it. I’m not sure expect that better is definitely possible here
