[resolved] TML: Loop issue on home? (8 posts)

Thank you very much for this great plugin. I'm using it on a website without any problem for some months now. Today I've upgraded from version 6.1.4 to the latest version 6.2.1, and this causes some unpredicted behaviour.

I'm using the login-widget. When I login correctly, everything works just fine. When I provoke a login-error, however, the home-page loop spits out a lot of posts that it shouldn't. This problem didn't occur on version 6.1.4 and doesn't affect any other page than the page that is set as a "static homepage".

As an example; http://www.domain.com/?action=login&instance=1 causes this behaviour and http://www.domain.com/contact/?action=login&instance=1 does not. Normally I wouldn't find this such a big deal, but since most user will try to login through the homepage I would really want to fix this.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me a tip how to solve this? I'm thinking it might have to do with the new permalink-options, but changing these doesn't seem to help. Thank you in advance!

What are "a lot of posts that it shoudln't"? Are these posts that you have excluded or what?

The loop checks for different states, such as the user being logged in, has the possibility to edit posts and if a specific category is being viewed. (But not if the homepage is being displayed.)

When the login-error is provoked on the homepage, the content being shown isn't the static homepage as defined in the wp-settings. It just shows all posts that someone not being logged in can see.

The strange thing is that this only happens on the static homepage, regardless of what page is defined. When I access a page directly, everything works fine.

I just installed Theme My Login 6.2.2. and the problem ist still there. I was hoping the new fix for "the redirect loop" would have a positive effect, but it seems to be unrelated. Does someone have a clue for me where to look next?

Just a heads up: version 6.2.3 (Fix static front page bug) fixes the above problem. Thank you very much!

    The loop... that's the issue..viz. http://www.domain.com/?action=login&instance=1

I had recent server upgrade which had a change in my PHP version which initiated the issue.
