    Hi!

    I would like to ask if there’s a way to display the event category instead of start date in the widget? I already tried this code

    <?php $category = tribe_meta_event_cats(‘,’-‘); if ( !empty( $category ) ) :?><?php echo $category; ?><?php endif; ?>

    but I also want it to display as a text not as a link.

    Please help. Thanks!

  • I’d like that too. Really if the widget allowed me to specify which categories to show, that would be ideal.

    hey guys. We have definitely had a few requests for category-specific widget, but at this point that is unfortunately only available in the Advanced List widget that comes with PRO and there are no plans to backport it to free at the time being.

    However, if you were willing to give it a go independent of the widget, the template tags as detailed at http://tri.be/support/documentation could help you out. Hope that helps and sorry I couldn’t offer up more. Let me know if you have any other questions here.

    @roblagatta thanks for the heads up 🙂
