  • Hi kapara. By default, that page should live at /events (assuming you have permalinks enabled). You can change the location of that page by visiting Settings _> The Events Calendar.

That help? Let me know if not.

    hi

    sorry, i couldn’t find it.

on: Settings _> The Events Calendar i see the options, but not a way to edit the page; add text, modify the headline (Calendar of Events), add foto etc.

    thank you

Hey Kapara, the plugin doesn’t actually create your typical page in WordPress, more like a “page” behind the scenes.

Depending on the setting for the ‘Events Template’ in Settings > The Events Calendar, this is one of the ways you can add text, modify the headline, etc. If you set it to “Default Events Template” then you can modify the behind the scenes “page” template by editing the ecp-page-template.php (you can place a copy of this in an ‘events’ folder in your theme to override and customize). Or if you set the Events Template to “Default Page Template”, then you can work with your themes page.php template to customize things.

    I hope that helps!

Can’t find the page either – am missing most options to change the name of the default page to anything at all in settings.
Am using Pagelines theme with child theme activated…no reason to go pro of course if free doesn’t work for me….

    thanks!

    it sure helps.
    thanks.

Excellent to hear you got this resolved, kapara. Thanks for the heads up.

Scoophk: you’ll need to enable pretty permalinks, but once you’ve done so the calendar should live at /events on your site. You can change that destination URL by – after enabling pretty permalinks – going to Settings –> The Events Calendar and changing the slug accordingly.

Let me know if that doesn’t get you where you want to be and we can take another look.

Was afraid it may have been that – have had too many problems in the past when using permalinks – it has killed may of my widgets – will try it but for now am going with another calendar that I tried that has a sidebar widget that I hadn’t seen before – Mainly because:

    1. I wasn’t able to configure repeating events to select repeat every M,W,Thurs or the like without and end date.

    2. Was also not able to have an event without an end day or time selected.

Will try the permalinks – and what about the 1 & 2 above – am not happy with the sidebar event list appearance on the calendar that I am using again – tho I do love the rest of it.

    Thank you rblagatta!

Hey scoophk. Thanks for the follow-up. You are correct that the ability to leave the end date/time unspecified is currently not an option. We’ve had a few users requesting this, though, so it’ll probably make it into a future release.

Sorry the calendar didn’t fully meet your needs, though. If you ever come back to it let me know what else I can do to help 🙂

    Of course!
    Thank you….
