  • I’m having the same issue. Please post if you come up with a solution! It seems that they created a new category of entry, it’s not a page, it’s not a regular post, it’s an event. But, I don’t know enough about wordpress to know how to have it show up as a post in the homepage.

    this is so sad! 🙁

    Hi ogbb, cspuris & ut99x,

Tragically, there is not right at this time. That feature, having an event appear on the home page the day of the event, which we all thought was awesome, received the darwin awards from the majority of users. Basically, we got so much flak for it we had to kill it.

Thats said, it might be a cool little add-on that someone could make. If they did a nice job we would totally promote it! We’ve added quite a lot of hooks and filters, as well as a wide base of functions to help developers extend the events framework. If there is someone who wants to tackle it with the right skills, we’ll gladly chat with them.

We have been debating how to best help event creators quickly promote events through their blog loop. No specific solutions have come to mind yet but we are listening as this is clearly in demand.
