Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » [Plugin: The Events Calendar] Random jumbled code when hovering over event

  • When I hover over an event in the calendar view it has a lot of code instead of the description:

    Tweet(function() { var s = document.createElement(‘SCRIPT’), s1 = document.getElementsByTagName(‘SCRIPT’)[0]; s.type = ‘text/javascript’; s.async = true; s.src = ‘http://widgets.digg.com/buttons.js’; s1.parentNode.insertBefore(s, s1); })(); Email Tweet(function() { var s = document.createElement(‘SCRIPT’), s1 = document.getElementsByTagName(‘SCRIPT’)[0];…

    I believe it is code having to do with Sharebar plugin.

  • Hey again werdplae. Does this go away when you deactivate the Sharebar plugin? While we can’t ensure that The Events Calendar will integrate with every plugin out there, we’re always willing to try and ease integration if there’s a problem with our code.

    Have you brought this up to that plugin’s dev? Based on the message you’re showing it does seem like the error is being generated by something other than The Events Calendar…

    Actually yes it does go away. I didn’t deactivate, I just changed a setting for it to appear in posts only, not pages and it goes away. It appears that when the Sharebar plugin is active on the same page as the calendar it messes with the calendar code. No I have yet to bring it up with the dev, I’ve been really busy translating this page to English that I just changed the setting and kept working.

    Hey there werdplae. If you ever had a chance to bring this up to the other dev and they noted an issue on our end, let me know. Happy to do what we can to ease integration where feasible.
