I can not get the calendar to show on a page- the sidebar works fine, the options on posts work fine also.

Just not able to add calendar to a page.

I’ve tried this from another post:

To add a custom link to a menu

Go to your admin dashboard and choose Appearance menus

In Custom links type /category/events/month for the URL and “New calendar” or similar for the Label.
Click on Add to menu, then drag the new Custom link to the required position
    Click on Save Menu

    but no luck.

    My site- http://www.bragaboutibiza.com/mag.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thanks

  • It has everything to do with your permalinks structure in WP settings. If you are using default then when you setup a custom menu simply ADD the category “events” to your menu (not this custom URL).

If you are creating your OWN theme then I recommend making a folder called “events” and COPY the 4 files they recommend to that folder to customize integration.

My calendar STOPPED displaying on a page. It just appears looking generic and works correctly. If you are correct about “events” added to the menu, I have that correct but for some reason the page created for the calendar inserts a folder called “category” i.e. http://www.awanacanada.ca/category/events/ instead of http://www.awanacanada.ca/events/
