[Plugin: The Events Calendar] How do I use the included polish PO and MO files?

Hello – as subject line really – I can see that someone has already translated the PO and MO files into Polish but what do I do now? Do I need to create a new POT file? How do I point the plugin at those files and tell it to use them? Do I have to get funky with the dreaded poedit?
