Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » [Plugin: The Events Calendar] Google Maps Featured Image throwing off post

  • Hi,

When I post an event, the thumbnail for it is fine, but when I click on it to open the single event, the divs get a little awkward. I put Google Maps at 40% width so that the featured image would show up next to it. However, the featured image is still showing up underneath it, although it too is sized to fit alongside the map…and it is centered, while the Google Maps box is left justified. Then, underneath all that, is the text I put in the text box section of the event post. I’d prefer for the post text to be above the map and the image.

Where and how can I adjust and prettify these things? 🙂

    Much thanks,

  • Oh, is the site I’m working on, by the way.

Hi Amy. Thanks for reaching out here, and for using the plugin. This is a great question – though I’m not sure of the answer myself. I’ve asked our dev Jonah to take a look and get you a response here. Stay tuned!

    Thanks Rob!

    Hi Amy,

These are almost entirely CSS/theming issues that you will need to work out on your own, not anything there are settings for. If you want to modify the plugins templates just make copies of any of the files in /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views and place in an ‘events’ folder in your theme. You can also do the same thing with the plugins CSS file located in /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/resources/events.css or you can add any custom CSS to your themes style.css file.

Sorry I can’t offer up more here, good luck!

Sounds like we’re pretty much set with this, Amy – if you have any lingering questions based on Jonah’s response please let me know and I’ll do what I can to get you answers.
