[Plugin: The Events Calendar] German translation & Layout questions (4 posts)

first of all thanks for this great plugin (we even updated our webspace package to finally use it). Its a great help displaying events that we or our customers are attending.

We (my boss) even made a german translation. I have it in a .po file, but there doesnt seem to be an upload feature here, so where can i send it?

    And now to the problems...
unfortunately it breaks our layout (Example) it doesnt get variables like partent and title from the parent page, so it doesnt display our menu in the right way (he should only list archive but instead lists links that should be displayed)

It would be realy nice if you could display the component inline in a normal blog entry like "Contact Form 7" does. With cf7 you can put a tag like [contact-form 1 "customer"] in a normal entry and then he will display the tag.

    Regards Felix

    Hi Felix,

Just email me the po and mo files. You can find my email on http://www.shaneandpeter.com.

We have a release coming out any moment that focused on fixing a large number of translation and display issues. Once that is out, you might want to grab the pot file and get the translation current.

As for short codes, many of those exist, check out the documentation:

Thats odd - I didn't receive an email. Can you check the address and send it again?

As for an intro - that would be a theme issue - take a look at the directions for custom templates: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/the-events-calendar/other_notes/.
