    I recently installed the newest free version of The Events Calender on my site. When I attempt to create a new event and publish it, the event does not display on the calender or the list of upcoming events. On the admin side, it says “no events found” even though it shows that (5) events have been published.

    I thought that maybe it had something to do with the directory permissions but after changing them, it had no effect. What can I do to fix this issue??

    Hi there keenandanny. Thanks for reaching out, and my apologies for the delayed response / inconvenience you’ve faced so far.

    The first solution right off the bat that should do the trick is just resaving your permalinks – no need to actually modify them, just go to Settings -> Permalinks and SAVE. Then refresh the frontend and see if the issue persists.

    If that doesn’t do the trick, can you make sure the events are actually published + in the future (rather than passed), then share a link to the site so we can view the issue directly? My guess is at that point we’ll be dealing with a theme or plugin conflict, but let’s cross that bridge when/if we come to it.

    Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, after re-saving the permalinks, it didn’t change my issue. On the main events page on the admin side it still says “All (0) – Published (7)” with “No events found” below it.

    On the end-user side, the events display on the event list. I know they were published properly, they just don’t display on the calender.

    I believe it could be a theme issue as it is a custom wp theme. Would you be able to piont me in the right direction if this were the case?

    Thanks for confirming as much; it does sound like, based on your follow-up, this may be theme-related. Have you already tried the deactivation route (ie reverting to the default 2011 theme to see if the issue persists)? Does it go away on 2011?

    Yes, the issue seems to have resolved itself. I am not sure what happened, but I’m not complaining.

    I have EXACTLY the same problem as described above after going to a live server that doesn’t have an htaccess but the rewrite rules are placed in the main server config files.

    Any ideas as to why this is happening?

    It’s a great plugin btw.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
