[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Disaccociate Events Calendar from Blog

Hello,
I am setting up The Events Calendar and have a standalone “page” for Events – however when the user clicks into the Events page it also shows an active state for the Blog. I was wondering if there was a simple way to remove the association, so that Events could appear to stand as their own category without impacting the overall functionality.
