[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Comments (and other radio box options) not working

I think I will love this plugin. Looks great, and so far haven’t found a glitch in the event functions themselves.
But, When the plug-in is activated, any options selectable on the ‘Post Edit’ page that are configurable with check mark buttons do not work.
Can not turn on comments, and also can not set ‘restricted’ option provided by the plug-in ‘Members’.
Basically, any function provided with ‘check mark’ feilds do not retain their setting when I update the page. All functions return to being unchecked.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
