[resolved] Calendar Shows Up Oddly on Theme Page (6 posts)

    I have recently created a WP website for my school using the "Grand College" theme. After installing your plug-in, and adding events, I clicked on the "View All Events" link to see how my full calendar view looked. The title "Calendar of Events" and the menu bars for months and years is showing up in my main menubar. They should be lower on the page.

    Here's the link to my website so you can see what I mean.

    What can I do to make the calendar show correctly on a page? I really like your calendar. I've looked at all of the calendars in WordPress and yours looks the best. I don't want to have to use another calendar.

    Thank you!

    Hey there schmutzd. Thanks for the note here, and for your words on the plugin. I apologize for the inconvenience you're faced with so far and am happy to try and help you out best I can.

    This looks like a straightforward CSS issue that should be relatively easy to fix. Right off the bat: what happens if you change to a different template under Settings -> The Events Calendar? The plugin comes with a few templates, and your theme may offer its own too. I'd try those different options to see if they solve it without having to noodle in the code.

    Give that a go and let me know the results. If it's still problematic from there I will do what I can to troubleshoot. Thanks in advance and for your patience so far.

    I'm having the same issue as schmutzd - http://rockpapermobile.com/events/

    roblagatta, can you please post a solution to this thread so others may see it as well?

    I tried every template that was offered in "The Events" menu and none of them made my calendar look better. It does the same thing, no matter what page template I choose.

    i changed the template to "Default Events template" and the problem stop. For some reason if i use in one of the theme template when i change month the silly break lines are added into the code.
    So you are stuck to the events template

    Hey again folks. As you can see in this thread, the solution is going to differ from user-to-user based on the theme they're running. If the simple template change didn't have any impact...

    A few other resources that may be of value, for you guys still having problems. Right off the bat would be this tutorial: http://tri.be/faq/my-calendar-navigation-buttons-become-misplaced-on-months-with-no-events-what-gives/. Otherwise we've had a few related threads on the tri.be site where we've provided varying degrees of solutions:

    * http://tri.be/support/forums/topic/events-calendar-pro-displaying-improperly/
    * http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-the-events-calendar-calender-buttons-misplaced
    * http://tri.be/support/forums/topic/conflict-with-theme/

    My guess is that one of those, specifically the first or second, will get those of you still having issues where you need to be. Please let me know if not, though, and we'll keep looking into it best we can. Thanks again to everyone for their patience so far, and our continued apologies for the inconvenience.
