[Resolved] [Plugin: Testimonials Widget] Controlling Order of Testimonials

  • Hi,
I am sorry to have to ask for help again. but I tried on my own without success.
I am using your shortcode to display the testimonials on a page. I have it showing 3 different tags. I used different tags for the purpose of showing only certain tags in the widgets sidebar on certain pages. But for the page which displays all tags, is there a way to control which order the testimonials appear in other than newest first?

If not, and I have to manipulate the dates of entries, does it go by the original date it was entered or the date you modify it? I tried the latter but without luck, it seems to use the original date when ordering them for diplay, correct?

Is there any other way to control the order they appear other than date?

Grokking code says… ORDER BY testimonial_id DESC.

That’s not very friendly and will be changed for the next major version of testimonials widget.

For now, you might need to edit testimonials-widget.php directly.

    Thanks for replying.

    What does the DESC represent?

DESC means descending order like 5 4 3 2 1 or newest to oldest

ASC means ascending order like 1 2 3 4 5 or older to newest
