[Plugin: Taxonomy Images BETA] Limit Taxonomy Items

Excellent plugin and i can’t wait to see this come out of beta. I have a question about limiting the number of taxonomy items (images) to a specific number. Currently i’m using this to call a list of images onto a page:
<?php echo do_shortcode('[taxonomy_image_plugin taxonomy="brands" size="thumbnail" template="grid"]'); ?>

But as i add products to brands that list would grow and i only want to show up to 5 on that page (my product index page). Is there some way of doing that?
