Support » Plugins » [Plugin: Target Visitors] Close – but not quite there yet

  • While I really like the idea of this plugin, there are some issues with it. The main thing is that the messages greeting the user who came from a search engine come up at inappropriate times – like when using the links to navigate to the previous or next post.

A smaller issue is that when I have my Google results up, i usually right-slick to open the page in a new tab. In this case the Target Visitor code does not take effect.

  • Hi vikingjs.
I also use new tab to open founded links, but I see plugin works.
It doesn’t matter how you open links – referrer can’t disappear this way. Can you provide link from google to your blog?

And I didn’t understant about “… when using the links to navigate to the previous or next post”. Plugin works only for users who came from a search engine or made search on blog. It search request or referrer, and if founded, it shows message.

The problem is when I use the previous or next link I get bogus information, as if I came from a google search looking for the page I just left.
