    Hi Tobias,

I have successfully migrated my tables from WP-Table Reloaded to TablePress. In following the directions in your migration instructions, I just want to make sure that it’s safe for me to deactivate and uninstall WP-Table Reloaded. Just to clarify, there’s no reason for me to NOT deactivate and uninstall WP-Table Reloaded as long as I am satisfied that all my tables look fine under TablePress and I have a copy of the WP-Table Reloaded dump file in case I ever needed to restore the old tables — is that correct?

Thanks for your help, and thank you so much for your incredible contribution to the WordPress universe!

    Karen

    Hi Karen,

thanks for your feedback and for using the plugin! It’s great to hear that everything is working and the migration was successful 🙂

As everything was successful, and as you’ll always have that WP-Table Reloaded Dump File as a backup to restore old tables from, it is indeed save to deactivate/uninstall WP-Table Reloaded. I actually do recommend that, to clean up your database. Once you have successfully migrated to TablePress, there is no further need for WP-Table Reloaded.

(If you really really have important tables, you could export these to CSV files (on the TablePress “Export” screen) additionally, as that format can be read by a wide variaty of programs (including for example Excel, which you can use to check if the data is ok).

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
