  • I’d like to find out how to do this too please. This is a great plugin, but I need to slow the scroll speed down and allow each feed to stay on the page a little longer.

    Thanks

Actually I found out how to do it. It’s only to change one value in the script.

But first you need to download the script (and if you like also the css-file) and not use the online version. Then it’s just to find the value in the script and change it to something that suits you. If you want more help just answer this post and I can give you more details.

Thanks for that. I’ll have a look through, I’m sure I can find out where to change it. However, I do prefer to use plugins uncustomised so that the update process doesn’t become a nightmare. After posting here, I found that the developer answers questions on his own website and there he says that he will be incorporating this in the next version.

    Thanks again

oh wow, just installed this plugin, pasted an RSS URL from a vBulletin site I have and it works a treat, but as above I would like to slow the ticker down. I don’t know CSS php scripting etc. I know a man who does, but it would mean asking him again if there is an update?
Does anyone know when the next update will be? You guys mentioned this 4 months ago.

Great plugin though, thanks. Get the option to make the ticker timing custom and I would be sure to make a contribution. Thanks for your hard work.

Don’t know if there’s an update. Maybe you could write to those who are developing the plugin and ask them.

About the CSS-scripting part, it’s not hard at all to change the timing. Think you could do it by yourself. If you want, I could help you with it.

Go to your wordpress folder, then go to
    wp-content/plugins/super-rss-reader/public
there you should find a java script named srr-js.js
Open it with a text editor, like Notepad.

You will find a lot of text in this file. Just search for the word “interval”. You’ll find two. The first you find follows by a hexadecimal number, mine is set to interval:2e3. Try some different values of this, save it and check your website.

Hope that wasn’t too difficult to follow.

Sorry to write this, but it doesn’t seem to be resolved. It doesn’t work. I still don’t know how to change interval to 1,5 or 2 sec.

OK, working. Sorry. Just overtype 2e3 with 2000(for 2 sec), 1500 (for 1,5 sec) and so on.
