Hi @philippdgr. I’m sorry for the confusion there.

However, please let me make this clear:

We never automatically subscribe anyone to anything. Never.

When you install MetaSlider there should be a clearly-labeled modal window. The window asks you to confirm your email address and if you want to hear from us.

If you agree, we send you an email afterwards. If you don’t agree, nothing at all happens.

Please let me know if any of this process did not happen for you.

This seems like a very standard and normal practice for WordPress plugins, but we are absolutely open to changes if this process is not correct.

Hi @philippdgr I’m following up on this, please.

I’d love to get more information on what went wrong, or work with you to correct the review if there’s a mistake.

Could you share any more details, please?

We’ve tested the installation process on multiple set-ups and different browsers: you are always explicitly asked to confirm the email address and choose to opt-in.

    Hi Steve,

thanks for getting back to me. I checked again and saw the popup.
I might have overlooked it, since the “Agree and Continue” Button is prominant orange, while the other button is just a text link.

I understand that its about Conversion Optimization, but I would love to see both options as visually equal.

I am deleting my review, as promised!

    Thanks for your time,
    Philipp

Thanks @philippdgr. I really appreciate that you doing that.

We do also hear your concern. What I’ll do is create a page on our website explaining how the pop-up window works, what data we collect, and how users can opt-out.

I’ll also ask our team to look at making that link into an equal-size button.

Thank you for helping us improve this process.
