    You are seeing this because, for some reason, the confirmation email that Subscribe2 is trying to send is reporting back that sending failed.

    Check that your Subscribe2->Settings are configured to send from an email address that is on the same domain as your blog (by this I mean that if your blog is then the emails should come from an address like

    If that all looks okay then ask your hosting provider why they are blocking your emails.

    Thanks Matty, I have a support ticket entered to my Hosting provider …. but as I was checking to make sure the email address of the domain was the one in use in the Subscribe2 settings, I decided to try registering another one of my emails. The first one I tried was the one I was already subscribed with, and subscribed2 replied that I was already subscribed, so that part works. Then I tried another email address and received the error message… then, when I went to look at the list of subscribers, of which my first email address was already confirmed as being on it… there weren’t ANY subscribers. the list is empty, even though subscribe2 told me I couldn’t use an email that was already subscribed.
    any ideas why this would happen?

    oh, and I do receive notifications when new posts are posted.

    The response I received from my hosts:
    Please make sure you have enabled SMTP authentication in the script with a valid mail ID and password.

    I do know HOW to do this, but not sure WHERE to do this in the Subscribe2 script.


    There isn’t way where to put the information in Subscribe2, you need another plugin.

    You could try this code or use the SMTP Mailer plugin.
