    Hello MattyRob,

    May I know,

    1) Is there a limit in the number of emails each time the system can send out whenever a post is published?

    2) Is there a limit to the number of subscribers that the system can store and/or process?

    3) I do not remember where I input my smtp server information. How do Subscribe2 sends out email? SMTP?

I intend to keep a database of over 1000 email subscribers subscribing to different categories in the system. Hence potentially the system(Subscribe2) must be able to send out 1000 emails whenever a new post is published. Is this possible?

  • @btosg,

1/ Yes there is likely to be a limit but this will be set by your hosting provider or the hardware specifications of the server (CPU, RAM and the like).

2/ Just over 4 billion can be stored in the table – I suspect that’s more than enough and issue 1/ would become a worry first.

3/ WordPress does not accept SMTP configuration information for email sending by default but plugins for this exist.

Subscribe2 can easily handle 1,000 subscribers, the question is whether your hosting provider will allow it.
