• My blog posts about 3 articles a day. We are using the Subscribe2 plugin without any problems. It is working fine.

We have configured the notifications to go out when the posts are submitted. For most users, this has been working fine with no problem.

We have had one user contact us and ask if they can configure their notifications for digest.

I found in the administration settings that this can be configured universally.

I’m wondering if this can be configured by user. I walked through the subscribe2 process of subscribing as a normal user, but there are not options for setting the frequency of notifications.

Can this be set, or can we request this as a future feature?

    Thanks.

  • @symetrikdesign,

In answer to your question, no it can’t be set. Subscribe2 is written to work as a per-post notifier OR a digest notifier – but not both at the same time.

As a future feature, it’s possible but would require an extensive re-write and maintenance of additional subscriber lists. I’ll add it to the list of possible future routes but it won’t get a high priority as I cannot spare much time at the moment. – Sorry
