  • @peretz71,

If you are talking about Registered Users or Subscribers then yes this is possible. Go to Subscribe2->Subscribers in the WordPress administration area. Filter on your Registered Subscribers and scroll down to the bottom of the page where you’ll see a Bulk Update section. You can change the email format for everyone there.

You cannot change the email format for Public Subscribers as this needs amendments to the code.

Is there any likelihood of allowing changes to Public Subscribers in the future?
If I would cut and re-paste their addresses would they now receive the current setting of the full post?

There is a paid version of Subscribe2 that allows Public Subscribers to receive the full content of the post in the HTML format. For that reason I’m not likely to add full post content as an option in the free version.

Cutting and re-pasting won’t help if they are still going to be Public Subscribers, you would need to get them signed up as Registered Users.

How about changing it so they receive the full post as text instead of HTML? How would I change the setting?

There is no setting for that. The only way you can accomplish this would be by editing the code.

On the “settings” page there is a section called “auto-subscribe” that offers 4 options: HTML-full, HTML-excerpt, Plain Text-full and Plain Text-excerpt.
If I cut and pasted their addresses would it work in this manner?

No, because those settings apply to people who are registered with your site through WordPress. I’m not sure where you are thinking of pasting the email addresses but there is no way I know of to bulk register users on your blog using only an email address.

I’ve set the auto subscribe to HTML-Full but the emails are being sent as Plain Text – Excerpt only.

When I go to Subscribers>Registered Subscribers and try and use the Bulk Update Format to change the format to HTML – Full but it keeps resetting to Plain Text – Excerpt

    Any idea?

The auto subscribe section is the default set of option that are applied when a new users registers with your blog, it doesn’t apply to existing users.

The Bulk Update section is a tool to update existing users subscriptions – not a reflection of what they currently are.

After applying the Bulk Update, check a few users subscription settings by clicking ‘edit’ below their name. You should see that Bulk Update option has been applied.
