Plugin stopped working

    Hi there!

    We’ve been using the plugin for a couple of years on a website we’re managing, and since recently it’s suddenly stopped working.
    Issues:
    1. On the plugin’s settings page, under “Live Preview (your latest track)”, it says “Oups! There’s been a error while getting the tracks from Soundcloud. Please reload the page.” .
    We tried to add a new user for testing purposes. It says “wrong username”. We’ve tried it with a couple of usernames.
    2. On the front-end the plugin tries to load the widget with the player for a moment, and then just shows a grey image with the Soundcloud logo. The Latest tracks widget doesn’t display at all (except for the Widget title).
    When looking at the console we see the following error:
    “NetworkError: 404 Not Found – https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Fplaylists%2F&auto_play=false&show_artwork=false&color=3f8097”.

    We’ve tried updating WordPress to its latest version and also tried deactivating and reactivating the plugin without any success.
    Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    I’d also like to add that the logs showed this error:

    Division by zero in …\wp-content\plugins\soundcloud-is-gold\soundcloud-is-gold-functions.php on line 289 . We used this link to solve the error:

    However this didn’t solve any of the aforementioned problems.
    Ideas? Help? Anyone?

    Same has happened here.

    Looks like either Soundcloud has changed it’s code meaning the plugin can’t find the ID anymore, or the plugin has been hacked. Hopefully it’s the former.

    Hopefully the author will come up with a solution.

    Have you by any chance contacted Soudcloud? I’m asking because from what I can see, it doesn’t look like the author is offering support on the plugin anymore.

    Hi,

    The plugin recently got a few issues due to someone stealing some of my API’s details. I’ve been looking into it with the help of Soundcloud (very helpful people btw).

    You can now update to 2.3.3 and things should get back to normal.
