• I am getting redirected to the edit.php page which lists all posts when I click on the title of a Spot or the Edit link in WordPress admin -> Spots.

The link I see is: /wp-admin/post.php?post=219&post_type=spot&action=edit

The edit links for another CPT I am using look more like this: /wp-admin/post.php?post=134&action=edit. If I edit that link to post=219, I do get to the Spot editor.

I am using the MyCuisine theme by Elegant Themes which included a Testimonials CPT, and the Advanced Custom Fields plugin if that helps troubleshoot.

Thanks for the heads up, what version of WP is this happening on?

I think we can rule out Advanced Custom Fields as I just tested it against that. I also tested the MyCuisine theme and it works fine with version 1.0.5 of the spots plugin.

Do you have any other plugins in use or customisations to the theme that might be the cause?

I don’t think so, but I’ll post the list here: http://yfrog.com/3twidp.

One clarification is that above, between ‘post_type=spot’ and ‘action=edit’, it shows and &, but what I am seeing is ‘& a m p ;’ in the link (minus the spaces of course). If I replace that with just an &, the link works.

Strange… & amp; in the HTML link is perfectly valid, or is it coming out as & amp;amp; ?

Can you try version 1.0.7 of the plugin and tell if it solves the problem?

That did it – thanks for being responsive! That will help a lot with the client site training today. 🙂
