    Hi there,

I just tried it out on 2 other of my sites – worked perfectly.

I think it’s because the site I want it on is on a WordPress Multi Site Installation. Do you know how to get it working on it?

    Cheers.

    Hi Josh.

Do you have a petition test page on your multisite installation that I could take a look at? The issue you mentioned came up before as a conflict with another installed plugin, but that issue was fixed. I’d make sure you have the latest version of the petition plugin on your multisite install to insure you have the ‘fixed’ version.

I haven’t done a lot with multisite yet, but I’ll check into this and see if I can find anything that’s going wrong.

My SpeakUp email petition plug in is version 1.1.3. Is this the latest or ‘fixed’ version? I’ve just started the petition campaign yesterday and it seemed to be working all right (I’ve tested with 2 people). But today, several people who signed the petition were getting message popping up with “program not found” and I did not receive their email petition nor did the counter register their count. Please help. The shortcode was [emailpetition id=”1″]
Should I have used something else as short code or should I have enclosed the shortcode in ‘backsticks’ ? Help.
Your time and response will be greatly appreciated.
The petition is installed at http://sunisthefuture.net please test.
Is it possible the fact that I placed this petition shorcode on multiple pages may have caused problem ?

    Hi Susan.

1.1.3 is the latest version and your shortcode looks correct.

I’m not sure what the “program not found” message was about. I don’t use that statement for any error messages in the plugin.

You can safely place the petition on multiple, distinct pages, but if you display the same petition multiple times on a single page, you may have problems. An example would be if you place the same petition on multiple blog posts and then have a page that shows several blog posts at once. In that case you’d have the same form displaying multiple times on the same view and you might have trouble with that.

    Kreg,
I just installed the latest version of speakup, and I too get an error message when I hit SIGN NOW.

I get Not Found – The requested URL/dk-speakup-petition-1 was not found on this server.

    Hi Steve,

Another person had a similar problem and fixed it with an .htaccess edit. See thread here.

Most likely, you have some code that is altering the URL in the submit button link. Could you post a link to a page where this problem is showing up?
